If LTTE had either the manpower or the firepower as that of the SLA, this war would've over a long time ago.

The fact remains even while outnumbering the LTTE over 20-1 and having incomparably superior weapons, the SLA still has failed to make a dent on the LTTE's defence formations in the north!


even if the ltte had 1/4th the manpower/logistics i would not be surprised to see them beat back the sla all the way to anuradhapura

and the worst part is...conventional military wisdoms says that gurilla armies cannot fight 'conventional 'set piece' ' battles against an army....
the conventional wisdom seems to be biting the dust in lanka.

furthermore all military historians tend to agree that to penetrate a fortified line you(the assaulting force) need to have 3:1 superiority at the point of penetration.

sla has more than that...and many times more in weapons/equip....whats going on?

that is quite true. by the time the SLA officers get a lot of experience they retire.

By the time they have made a lot of money they emigrate to the USA. Some come back to take up important positions.

You are fighting in wrong country. I promise you guys the last blood drip of this war will drip on a proud nation of Sri Lanka. There is no space for another state or any peelam in SL.
