LTTE withdraw and direct artillery fire from Civilian areas. Because of that, SLA is always at disadvantage.

No photos on defence.lk if they captured 500m ? Mmh thats hard to believe, how did LTTE have photos while it is said that they lost some areas ? Look like they photographed the kamikazes (offensive ??) SLA soldiers who advanced more than 500m into Tigers area. LOL !

True this will at least temporally stop the killing but will be of no use unless both parties have clear objectives and are honest & open in finding a solution. If not why prolong and keep it for a later generation?

DVLAD

CFA should come with the UN monitors,, or the UN must directly play some kind of role,,

LOL AnuD is on a roll today with the jokes :):)

No SLA is at a disadvantage because I think they are lead by brilliant people like you, I mean who else would fall into the same trap not once but at least FOUR times :):)

A hug thrust into EP area would have cleared Muhamale, Nagara kovil area.

Make love not war?

Well I don't know maybe that would work on some LTTEr's just don't try to hug me I don't swing that way :):)

Ok seriously though, I like you idea, please advice Gen. Ponseka about it.

So instead of 150 dead you would have had even more troops boxed in to the kill zone and we would be counting 400 or more like during Agni keela :):)

Kural,

Yes, the absence of photos on defence.lk probably proves that they are lying.

Dear only paavam here are our people under the Sinhala Buddhist jackboot.

We are outgunned and outnumbered, only unfair fight is the one you lose :)

So we must do all in our power to survive, cold and harsh as it may be, one or two shells every hour would have grounded flights out of Palali.

Oh well I hear many are P1 injuries so they won't be coming back anyway, so it is better they survive its an extra drain on the fake state to support them.

revy

i agree the army is ruthless and we have to survive, in that sense, yes fighting is the only way,,

LTTE has Mobile artillery?

dude..what in heavens name are you talking about? if the LTTE arty has about 20 km range would it matter to them if the army advanced 500 meters?(as it did today before being beaten back?)

they would probably adjust the firing angle a few degrees and ..lo and behold the shells would fall 500 meters short on the new SLA positions. you talk as if the Arty has to 'retreat' 500 meters if the army advances 500 meters.!

Tigress:

UN is ready to send monitors.

European Union, at a conference attended by Justice and Interior Affairs Ministers has agreed to proscribe the use of Internet by terrorist and armed outfits in the world, including the LTTE.

The decision was reached at a conference attended by Justice and Interior Affairs Ministers. It is not a secret that terrorist organisations were raising funds and carrying out their propaganda through the internet. The meeting was held in Luxembourg.

Reflecting mounting anxiety that the Internet has become a crucial tool for would-be terrorists, the agreement will make it a crime to disseminate terrorism propaganda through the Internet for recruiting, training and bomb-making purposes.
