according to your logic if the goaly stays put and refuses to jump at the ball when it's hit at the net, that does not count as a goal!!

what the hell ru talking !! lolz..told you your tired

what a comparison..lolz..a Goal keeper..lolz

If there are no LTTE occupying the Church and the Army just walks in and takes the Madhu church over,,then you don't say it as CAPTURED..u can say it as a take over..
(similar to Capturing a Empty bunker..lolz)

since Randu confirmed there are zero causalities is it right to assume there were no LTTE in the Church..

anyway answer Gonnamba's question first..

Public euphoria at predictions of an imminent military victory boosted army recruitment, but despite unofficial censorship on bad news from the front, force numbers started to dwindle and desertions increased as the bloodshed dragged on.

Apidda Rs 18,000 paddi Eppa!

'The government had raised the expectations of the people. They were made to believe that the war was being won,' said freelance defence analyst Namal Perera. 'It has now become difficult to sustain that line.'

Now adjust the dead-line like adjusting the forward fefence line.

'People were ready to make sacrifices. They were being told that the war was going well for the army. The latest casualties show that the Tigers are not as weak as the people were made to believe,' Perera said.

MR and Co will try to capture demolished Madhu church at any cost. That is to keep alive their money making business and to please 84% people.

A retired army officer who declined to be named said the military was a victim of Tiger deception. 'They fell into a trap. This is not the first time,' the officer said, adding that the security forces had better fire power and more men, but the Tigers compensated by using better tactics.

Use the brain instead of releasing Weerayas statements and interviews. VP release statement only once a year.

how does 'take over' differ from 'capture'?

example:
a. Aussies take over the Ashes trophy
b. Aussies capture the Ashes trophy

with you superior knowledge of English (may be coming from your wife's side - *winkz*), please explain this humble soul!

well... since you insist, yes, i am tired from work!
happy now? LOLZ.

here is a simple answer to your post..This from one of the best known Sinhala member..

Sinthaka said
Yes, I am a Sinhalese down to the very last drop of blood.

I can criticize my own community, as well as my self.

Yesterday, we sinhalese have been very foolish...hence the death of 150 precious lives. Muhamalai is a death trap and we should've known better, planned better and executed better.

If we don't acknowledge that we have been utterly foolish and criticize our self for it, we will never learn lessons from history.

I can't speak for the rest of us of course, but I am a real Sinhala Modayaa.

There is NO sign of any remorse from vengeful SaDEath Fonseka or from his jingoistic Rajapakses for pushing the poor soldiers into the death trap set by LTTE. On Tuesday the army met strong resistance and lost tanks and artillery but SF wanted the soldiers to stick to his agenda come what might.

For the stupidity and the unpreparedness of the Generals the grass root soldiers paid the ultimate price. Will it affect the attitude of the leaders? No, no hope for rationality or wiser counsel but stupidity of the same.

Though highly trained, deaths of 150 + 30 soldiers may not make much difference to the number game but it will demolish the morale of the already stretched army and air force.

Berty Anna,
It is a little strange :) Selective (FREE) information feed for the Sri Lankans, or there is no interest in little stories like this that can have huge impacts on the country.. Hmmmm.

Berty,

Now says that they captured Madhu after struggling more than a year just for 4.5 km. Who knows the tactic.
