Remember IF and when VP goes there are so many others on the wing just waiting to take over. The Tamil struggle will never end until tamils are free of Singlecellese opression.
Without self rule no peace will be possible.
When VP is gone we can talk with LTTE.
There were people like VP in history. Hitler & Rohana W also belongs to the same category. Power hungry & eccentric.
Eliminating such people is the only option.

What an astonishing predicament! A short-cited politician like MR, who is only interested in establishing Rajapaksa regime, shamelessly plunged the nation into a complete chaos and endangering waves and waves of young Sinhala men for no reason at all.
All is required is to work towards achieving a national consensus as to a viable political solution that would go some way to satisfy all communities. It is required to re-visit the constitution and embrace all communities as equal. It is a must to demonstrate that, no religion, and no language, no community would enjoy supremacy. These are essential to build a nation of subjects.
But, this imbecile is prosecuting this unwinable war blindly foolhardily believing that he will triumph! After the fall of East, the US Ambassador for Sri Lanka warned that, it was a tactical withdrawal from the part of LTTE, and Sri Lanka should concentrate on a political solution, it fell on deaf ears. MR regime silenced all moderate Sinhala voices, Jeyadeva Uyangoda comes to my mind, putting all the eggs in one basket. How stupid one can be, there will come a point, that LTTE would be in far more bargaining position than they are in at the moment.
Those Sinhalese who foolishly claimed that RW is a traitor, should stop and take stock. It is blindly obvious that, LTTE machinery can be weakened through economic prosperity and empowerment of all communities than prosecuting the war. It has been proven time and time again that, LTTE is far stronger in the conditions of war than in conditions of peace, one has to think about the Karuna split. Karuna still would be in LTTE ranks if there was no CFA, there is no doubt about that.
It is astoundingly obvious that the Sinhala polity is not engaging their brain, or they are powerless to challenge the Sinhala Buddhist Chauvinism that they themselves created for political expediency!

What made you to think that i am a tamil dummo....there are enough sri lankans who r not tamil or sinhalese....hope you remember sri lankans are with lot of different roots....there is no pure sinhalese or tamil in SL.

MR & SF are only doing their duties. They have the full support of vast majority Sri Lankans.
MR is the best Sri Lankan president since RP.
Sri Lankans have long understood that VP & LTTE is a cancer that need to be removed.

If SLAF started to bomb a lot, before the ground offensive started, LTTE will get a propaganda win by showing dead bodies as innocent civilians.
In fact in that stretch of land link in Jaffna, there are not many civilians... remember there was Elephant Pass garrison in that area... so, SLA did not allow many civilian settlements in that area.
I think you guys have to accept the fact that this historic loss of life is a failure in the part of SLAF and army intelligence as well, in addition to the heroics of Tigers! |
