Husbands will be given opportunity to be with their wives in the labour room at the time of delivery, Minister of Health, Nimal Siripala De Silva stated.
He further stated that measures are to be taken to brief health officials in this regard by issuing a circular regarding this decision, which is due to come into effect shortly.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health has taken measures to continue recruitment of family health officers. Thereby, 150 new health officers will be recruited.
Minister De Silva has decided to abolish anomalies that take place when giving marks on written examinations while recruiting family health officers to the special grade.
The attention of relevant authorities have also been drawn to the possibility of introducing university courses for family health officers.

This is strange, I was allowed to be in the delivery room. I thought it has been standard practice for some time now.

LOL of course a natural childbirth is a lot messier than a caesarian(more blood and stuff), so maybe your sis had a normal delivery
Its said that you rarely realise how many swear words your wife actually knows until she gives birth :)))) |
