In other words, those tamils are on Social WELFARE and depends on the South for living.

Do you know for last 20 years there was no proper statistics carried out in the North East????.
There is no social welfare system here. Most of the people in the North East survice because of their relatives overseas and fund granted by development agencies. Govt. did nothing to those people.

Source is very very reliable.
Actually, it is less than 1%.
The most important point, think, if those people have to pay taxes in order to maintain the provincial Councils of those areas what would happen.
So, the tamils are again dependent on the South to maintain their politicians.
Because, LTTE - coolies living overseas just open the big mouths only.
