All the leaders committed mistakes:
DS Senanayake: Disenfranchised upcountry Tamils, Govt sponsored colonisation and renamed Tamil cities like Manal Aru into Sinhalese Weli Oya.
SWRD Bandaranayake: Sinhala Only Act, gave in to Sinhala racism and tore away the B-C Pact
Dudley Senanayake: Promisied parity of Status to Sinhalese and Tamil languages but embraced Sinhala ONLY Act, tore away the S-C Pact.
Mrs Srimavo: Expelling upcountry Tamils and changed the constitution by jettisoning the clauses like 29 which safeguarded discriminatory legislation based on religious or ethnic ethnicities.
Mrs CBK: War for Peace, torpedoed Ranil's govt and sabotaged peace talks and appointed M Rajapakese as PM in place of Kadirkamar.
M Rahapakse: So-called War on Terror, closing A9 and bombing Tamil areas and re-arming paramilitaries and giving impunity to the killers and abductors.

DIVAYINA says TMVP is preparing a 08 Acre ground for providing training for it's new Caders.
If TMVP is preparing for democratic politics why do they need training grounds.
Are they planning the struggle with a new strategy. |

I think, TMVP needs another decade or so to present as a truly democratic political party. |

There is not much point in bragging about technical know-how's when it comes to solving issues in a country at war.
Protecting a unique language or a religion by law is not uncommon in other nations, if it belongs to a minority. The majority always would enjoy power and hence it can do the needful to protect their culture by sheer implementation of law and order.
If we take into account Kashmir, there is a law in the Indian constitution that prohibits any outsider from buying lands in Kashmir. But Kashmiris are free to buy land anywhere in India. Does it mean that Kashmiris are smarter and the the rest otherwise? It's not.
What the lawmakers of India have done is that they enacted a law with special previlege to those people so that those people will feel secured under united India. Otherwise, they would feel secured under the arms of the Pakistanis.
Now what has happened in SL is the reverse of what had happened in India. The minorities were sidelined more by the warped thinking of the politician under the guise of protecting Sinhala and Buddhism. They have had the power all along to protect the culture by simply enforcing law and order. No one was going to force Sinhalese to forget Sinhala or learn other languages. The politicians simply didn't care for the minorities and were always prowling for majority votes. People should take a fare share of blame for keep electing guys who were inclined towards such short sighted visions.
Finally, today's war is only a creation of some greedy lawmakers. The day you make such people disappear from the arena, there will be light at the end of the tunnel.

Tamils migrated all over the world and accepted the system of the majority and live well.
ONLY in Sri Lanka, tamils don't want to accept the majority governing because the MAJORITY allowed the tamils the way they wanted.
So, the solution to the PROBLEM is CLEAR.
The SIMPLE EXPLANATION is that tamils are used to live subjugated lives. Once they are allowed to come out of that, they try to subjugate the very system that were allowed to come out of their own mayhem.
