I think TWO stupid mistakes that CBK did were, because of her greed, she had the second presidential election one year earlier, then after the second presidential term she tried to extend it another year both of which she should have done.
IT proved how cunning and devious she was.
Politicians are cunning and devious but they should do that with a class.
she did it in the open. Edited By - AnuD - 31 Mar 2008 18:48:20 GMT |

JVP knows only to talk. I am terrified of the future Sri Lanka.
JVP is actually a misguided lot misguided by their own ideology.
So, they don't know what they are doing. They want to be in politics because of that, they do anything that fits the occasion.
Socialism is good but it is not found any where in the world.
They should promote the OLD - EASTERN policy of 'GOERNING WITH DASA RAJA DHARMA'.
Or there is another form of SOCIALISM IN LATIN AMERICA BUT western news media does not like to give publicity to it.
Because it threaten the very basis of MODERN capitalism though it is also a form of capitalism.
In the Latin - American capitalism neglected by the capitalist media, Bankrupt companies are run by the employees and make it profitable. SO, it is tryly labour owned capitalism.
What JVP does is supporting the TRADE UNIONS and always ask for salary increases. that caters to western type of Capitalism through modernization of work places.
Because machines increase productivity and also gives high salaries to remaining employees. |

Do you think that you have modern world sophisticated ideas?
That could be the reason for your support to find a home from the stone industrialized age which is not achieved yet.
The 84 % WESTs are still in that age. |

Robins:
I am unique.
One Capitalist civilization is crumbling now.
Industrial age is long over now.
the present age is technology age.
Very soon it will be Nano and femto technology
Robins talk about industrial age, but live in the STONE age.
How the so called modern tamils promote 'TAMILNESS' in this small world.
they are trying to make the ETHNICITY a political issue.
Tamils need to identify and promote their TAMILNESS outside the politics and not politically.
With politicization of the TAMILNESS they have become a nuisance to the whole world particularly to SriLANKA. Edited By - AnuD - 31 Mar 2008 19:08:09 GMT |

AnuD, my response is my own personal feeling and I would
like to share with you and other members.
I am in no-way protesting to the Sinhala language or
Buddhism and the country's National language or religion.
We are a multi-ethnic group of people born in Sri Lanka
and I feel it will only do us all good if we were all
united. To unite people we need to understand them and
be able accept them as one.I don't think having three languages will do any harm to the country in any way.So
with the religion.Didn't we pay our respects to all the
Temples, Churches and Mosques in Kataragam?Did not we stand/kneel side by side with other religions? These maybe little little things, but then we were together. There are many more things to compare the love and affection we had
with our neighbors, friends and even at school.
Maybe I am too old to understand the present way of life and living habits of Mother Lanka but I am always a Sri Lanka at heart and should even though I left in the mid 70's.
Please feel free to correct me where I am wrong.
Thank you for reading.

It was not an offensive comment from me too.
I explained what I think.
First, We allowed tamils even to dominate us. Evidence is Statistics with respect to how tamils dominated us as bureaucrats and in university admission.
With that confidence they wanted to have 50% of every thing, and make us speak TAMIL.
So, that was the CAUSE of the struggle.
OUR problem is WE ACCEPT THAT CRAP AND SAY YES TO EVERY THING.
