Former Sri Lankan President Chandrika Kumaratunga said she has committed `three` mistakes during her eleven-year reign, including dismissal of UNP-led government in 2004.
Kumaratunga said she realised that an alliance with the Marxist JVP party was a mistake she committed while at the helm of affairs in the country.
Similarly, she said, the UNP-led government of Ranil Wickremesinghe should not have been dismissed in 2004.
The 62-year-old former president said she would reveal the third mistake she committed sometime in the future.
In an interview to a Sinhala weekly, Kumaratunga said her party the Sri Lankan Freedom Party (SLFP) and the opposition United National Party should forge an alliance to resolve the 25-year-old Tamil ethnic conflict.
`I think the SLFP and UNP should come together and work out a common understanding to find a solution to resolve the conflict in the country,` she said.
She also made it clear that neither she nor her sister Sumitra would enter active politics.
Their brother and former foreign minister Anura Bandaranaike died recently raising questions about the future representatives of the legendary Bandaranaike family in politics.
Fifty nine-year-old Anura, son of Prime Ministers S W R D Bandaranaike and Sirimavo Bandaranaike was at one time considered a forerunner for the country`s top post.

I will not let it happen through the party my parents safeguarded democracy
Safeguard what???
..she made three mistakes in her political career
Are these the top three mistakes?
She further said that the third error would be revealed in the future.
Why later?
She should have undone the mistakes made by her parents!

When we understand the two mistakes that she says that she has done, the third mistake would be appointing MR as the PResidential candidate.
This is what I hate when Sri Lankan politicians think SriLanka as their property. They are no different from LTTE who says tamis are their property.

CBK is saying this not because of her love for SL. But because she is no longer in the lime light. CBK seems to think that this country is her personal property given to her by her parents. Just like RajaPASSA and family think this country is given to them by God him self for MR and his family to PLUNDER and LOOT.
However - CBK might have approved MRs presidentcy (reluctantly) however - everyone will pay for having a BRAIN DEAD MONKEY as president..

SRI LANKA'S double-digit inflation is not driven by runaway global crude prices but by poor economic management, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) said overnight.
The Indian Ocean island nation's official year-on-year inflation rate rose to 24 per cent in February, up from 21.6 per cent in January and 7.1 per cent a year earlier.

If she had repented for her mistakes while holding the office people would have really appreciated her.
What is the use of shedding crocodile tears now?
She was the murderer of thousands and thousands of innocent Tamils.

This is what she admit to
Among other things I feel she should have resigned when Bandaranayake airport was attacked by LTTE |

She should have said, I made several blunders, my mother made several blunders, my father made several blunders and all these in the name of Sinhala Budhism. I feel ashamed and thats why I stay in the UK, away from the mess!!
Also Mahinda kicked me, now gothabaya and his army clan will take over the country!! |
