The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) has decided to suspend the public gallery and the trading floor at the CSE premises due to security reasons from Tuesday, April 1. Investors have been requested to go to the public galleries of the stock broking firms for trading. Brokers when contacted said they opposed the move and attributed the suspension to cut down on electricity charges.

| Yea I do find it ludicrous that the heart of capitalism cannot even be illuminated if it is true... I surely hope that isn't the reason... but this stock exchange looks very antiquated... and look how they do business. Unlike the NYSE, where everyone is running around, we have these people just sitting in chairs, sort of like spectators at a match! |
