Wnat can the people do? Die out of starvation? Food and medicine are blockaded and people's movements barred by the barbaric govt. They cannot even sleep in the nights as roaring Kfirs and MiGs of the SL Air Force bomb them day and night.

500,000 tamils have fled the barbarity of the 'saviours' before !

40,000 of Varakai tamils braved mud, rain, jungles, mine fields to escape to govt. areas.

Vanni is a giant prison.

People are allowed to open mouth only to eat .

Parents sent the kids to the jungles to prevent LTTE kidnapping to be sacrifice them for a supreme idiot.

Richard Boucher says - LTTE has brought only misery to tamils

Carring a mobile is a crime in Vanni

You can take a call abroad for 5 minutes in the presence of a LTTE cader.

Tamils kids are being protected by SLA soldiers during exams for fear of kidnapping !

Tamil kids have to undergo training for 3 months to sit for exams! Then they are sacrificed anyway

Young people are not allowed to get married.

People are taxed to the bare bones !

No hope, no future, no jobs, simply no freedom in Vanni

WANT ANY MORE REASONS WHY THESE DESPARATE PEOPLE FLEE ????????

I personally met some escapees from Vanni, last August and they all had dreadful stories to tell about terrorists hold up there.I asked them if they would prefer to go else where out of the country or live in the south. They all preferred to go abroad, just like most of the people in the country. But they said that they hold no grudges against the south, but happy to be safe and alive in the south.I have asked my friends to see that they get the proper papers etc.Now I heard that few of them are employed and one or two of them will leave for middle East to look for employment, but make their homes in the south.VP should give up his stubborn struggle for a separate state and come to mainstream politics like Karuna and Pillian,as they will never be allowed to carve out their terrorist state by violence. There is a future in a united country for everyone.

In exchange of Unitary Constitution? Tamils have been dying under this constitution.

Karuna is locked up in UK.
Pillaiyan is abducting children with the help of SL army as detailed by the Country Report published by the US State Dept and other NGO reports. Not much prospects there for VP.

Advise your president to come out with something credible and genuine than digging out the failed and discredited 13th Amendment from the museum. This 13th Amendment was tried and led to the Unilateral declaration of Eelam by the supporter of both JR and INdia. Unitary Constitution and Sinhala Only are the causes of the conflict and VP's Eelam is a remedy for the monirities as a way out of the clutches of the Sinhala elitist leaders.

Ask Thalaiver for food - Eelam is a de facto state my arse... ROFL. Still waiting for handouts from GOSL? You want food - get with the program and lay down your weapons.

The lines are drawn in the sand and in the Wanni - Each Tamil should ask themselves a question - which side do you want to be on? Tamils have already being targeted for special attention at International airports - think what will happen when the new Terrorist Database comes online for SL Immigration... You think you will be allowed to visit SL regardless of whether you have a US or UK or Canadian or Australian or Norway passport? Think twice and choose wisely.

If that is the case why did tamils live in Batticloa vote for Pillaiyan in recent election?? (Remember! all international media and organizations accept the election was fully free and fair)

He already gave two firm options. First option 'Start implementing devolution of power from executing 13th amendment' which is so friendly, productive and kind full.

The second option is 'Fight with SL forces and die' which is so challenging and shivering terrorists.

This family made the right choice and I'm sure some more are just waiting for an opportunity to escape from HELLAM.

Voting with their feet will continue until this national tragedy comes to an end.

Defense.lk website carries the news
Air Force jets attacked and inflicted heavy destruction on three major positions in the North yesterday.
These bombing are carried out to either kill or chase people out of their homes in Vanni to India or South of SL. Then they have the audacity to turn their horrors to blame LTTE, the reason behind leaving their homes.

Close A9 and blockade food and medicine to the North.

Bombard Northern areas.

Expect the inhabitants to die or escape bombardment under starvation?
