This is the problem. How much time are we prepared to wait in limbo ? There will be nothing left for either the Tamils or the Singhalese in a few more years at this rate of destruction of civilization. |

Very true.. But how many do realize this? There are only three options left..
1) Tamils could stop supporting LTTE so that the latter will die off and hence peace in Sri Lanka. But the Tamils should be prepared to accept whatever happens to them under this majoritarian rule..!
2) Sinhalese could elect a moderate leader who would settle with a political solution and make the LTTE redundant.
3) Leave it to time, as in the present state.

Time has only prolonged the suffering and destruction so far as both LTTE and the GoSL have absolutely butchered the situation with bad judgment. Since it has taken so long, lot of people have no recollection of a good singhales or a good tamil. Therefore leaving it to time is the worst option.
#2 is unlikely for a while
#1 is less likely if the East goes to hell in the next few months

Exactly what that former Tamil - Muslim PResident did in India.
Oh, in addition, when the GOSL PResident is away he looks after some of those activities. |
