Of course the Sinhalayas have given up the idea that VP is unbeatable, a notion that was artificially propagated by the LTTE, Scandinavians and RW!

YOu nkow what Eelamaya
Still your 'smart' guys cannot beat him... 30 years, man!
This is all the Great VP has given you, bragging rights for the longest freedom struggle for you with no end in sight and thousands and thousands of your kith and kin dead, disabled, distraught and futures destroyed.
Great going indeed. In another 30 years, there will be no Tamils left to ask for a separate homeland...

If all the Highly educated , intelligent guys in Colombo cant understand & defeat a eight grader
well... as far as i know, this eighth grader does not fight in and around colombo... may be he's afraid! :))
also, how can an intelligent person understand an eighth grader?
it takes another eighth grader to understand one...
with Sri Lanka's literacy rate, may be we don't have one at the moment! LOLZ.
it's ok, you can try explaining again...

In another 30 yrs time Tamils will ask for seperate states in Canada, UK, Australia and may be in Malaysia, but definitely not in India, because they have been asking that for the past 50 yrs with no avail! and not in SL too because they have done the same for 30 yrs and couldn't budge an inch except for losing patriotic Tamils like EElamaya and the rest who are living a comfortable life abroad and make themselves hilarious cyber patriots!

So dont you think it is correct for praba to kill rajiv
wrong!
i think it's the BEST thing praba did!
in fact, he should kill Sonia Gandhi too!
and follow it up with Rahul...
Menaka should be spared bcos she will bear children whom Charles Anthony could take care of!

VP is alive and doing well... So, the respectable thing for the proud lions to do is just give up... with 10:1 people advantage, Sinhalayas could not get him for 30 years....
Isn't this is a humilation for a proud nation? |

Yes there was...all the Key schools had them and teh syllabus had exams in all 3 languages. Most kids studied at home or through private lessons and still sat for the exams in their own language. I know that St' Patrick's and St Johns in Jaffna had them in the seventies and eighties as I know a person from Jaffna who studied in English/Tamil there. Ask Berty, he will confirm as I think he is from St' Johns.
i agree that SL education system WAS ok..but still i see kelani university gratuate finding it difficult to find a clerk job...where as grade 10 failed burger guy become marketing manager bcos of english
Gavin, just because one goes to Uni doesn't necessarily mean he is entitled to a job.
the 10th grade drop out makes it because he tried harder and he fight tougher. and most of the time he started at the bottom and proved himself worth.
The Graduate wont get jack as gets on a high horse all because he passed out with honours as will not be prepared to get his hands dirty. Thats the simple truth. They want to sit in the CEO chair from day One as they think its their birth right.
English is crucial but still plenty out there who manages just fine without being fluent. the education system is not to be blamed. Its all personal attitude to learn and get ahead in life. Uni students in SL are cursed with the notion that just because its free and GOSL sponsored the rest should be as easy too.
