Fortunately, the story, of course, is not true! It can t be for the obvious reasons, and the truth of the matter being that the ordinary people are on the road with SLDF.
They are considered friendly and reliable until proven otherwise. It s a big change of thinking on SLDF part, who are on the road to peace through victory.

GoSL strived had with success in getting the LTTE banned in many countries, but the Tamils get accepted in those countries as well..! Double standards? :P

Same argument for why 84% warmonger Sinhala are against a federal solution as well, on one hand they claim Tamils love to live as slaves under their despotic rule, but on the other they say if given federal then Tamils will eventually scede :):)

The collective punishment, making civilians suffer for the acts of terrorists, is obviously counterproductive and only serves to block moves toward a swift victory and just resolution of the conflict politically.
This perception provides fodder for anti-Lankan feelings that may threaten the credibility of the counter insurgency tactics.
Therefore, the continued silence on this issue will only serve to increase the perception worldwide that SL cares little for the suffering of its Northern inhabitants.
