KURAL

Its funny that you talk about liking Mussolini's country.

If you were to take a head count of the Sri Lankan's and ex-Sri Lankan's living in Italy you would find that 99.9999% are tamils.

So peelam tamils are being drawn to fascist Italy like a magnet. Sri Lanka's loss is Italy's loss too!

What is the importance of being a UNHRC as UN always tries to establish an office of its HRC in Sri Lanka. Even the commissioner of UNHRC more towards on LTTE direction.

BinKunda,

I think you hav just only little but empty head ( Olyve ) Wije the so called thief came from north India who was even saved by Tamils who were living here before to give him a hand to land here.

He was living in the inginiyagalle forest and became chief veddah.so you are all coming from this generation.

Now you have been kicked out from UNHRC because they don't accept veddah communities like you all.

I don't think MR has any problem with it. He is a stiff necked idiot whose left leanings in communism have never left him!

Electing SL to UNHRC is like letting a hyena to be in charge of a heard of lambs.

This time round Sri Lanka is seeking re-election with the CFA abrogated and facing a barrage of international criticisms from some powerful members of the UN and human rights organisations worldwide and also from within the United Nations itself for what they see as the persistent violation of human rights, disappearances, attacks on journalists and threats to the media and the perceived support of the government to paramilitary groups operating particularly in the north and east.

A typical example of how Tamils are treated under Rajapakse regime.
A Tamil man was abducted by the military, at a checkpoint, somewhere in northeastern Sri Lanka recently, witnessed by many civilians. His wife inquired at every nearby military camp, but they denied having or ever detaining him. Someone advised her to contact a paramilitary group. They work closely with the government, she was told, and so could help. Desperate, she did. (This would be the EPDP or TMVP.) They noted her details and promised to investigate.

A few days later, members of this group abducted the woman and raped her.

Her husband is still missing, presumed killed by the military.

Seeing no other option, she told her story to a human rights organization.

The point should be obvious. The western powers and their human rights groups would have nothing to complain about if the Rajapakse regime did not treat its citizens - mostly the Tamils, but also Muslims and, increasingly, Sinhalese who resist - with systematic brutality. For the case of this woman and her husband is not isolated. It is not something 'collateral' that occurs, inevitably, regrettably, in the course of fighting a war on terror.

Dear Kinglanka,
Sri Lankans never descended from India. Do you know the oldest man in Asia is found in Sri Lanka?? (Balangoda man)

So do you deny Mahawansa - so called a proper document of the histroy of SL - beleived by many Sri Lankans. It says Wijeya came from East part of India (above Tamilnadu and may be Andra pradesh). He married and Kuweni and captured SL.

Dear Binkunda,
if tamil kings ruled and tamils were indigenous than sinhalese why sri lanka was calleed HELA diva? sinhala nation ?

Nice statement.
I get this meaning from your 'HELA DIVA' - Umpallage Kattiya karuppu wada, KELA gaganakkai, DIVA dhanekkai neda?

I never said that Tamils were indegenous than Sinhalease. please read the sentenses carefully. read again and again to get the correct meaning.

Please note that Tamils lived here for a long time. It can be estimated as 2500 years before as that of Sinhalease. Both SL Tamils and SL Sinhalease are decendent of India. If you look at the culture, costumes, food habit, ritual practices, you can get a clear idea. There were many words used by Sinhalease were borrowed from Tamil. Recent example is 'Nadagam'. Still you are borrowing words from Tamil Language.

Tamils earlier called Sri Lanka as 'Eelam' - It means Ceylon in English. It does not mean seperate land within SL.
