My question to you is why you are hanging on LTTE..
This is born out of your imagination which is as a result of paranoia.
Prabakaran is NOT the problem. The problem is Sinhala Only Act(which is not repealed) under unitary constitution. So long as Sinhalese hegemony rules, Prabakaran will be the leader of Tamils.
Tamils were killed in thousands in the anti-Tamil riots as portrayed in the 'Emergency 58' written by the former Editor of Daily News.
Part of the problem Tamils face is the army that were sent to Jaffna in 1957 under the pretext of curbing illegal immigration.

Man you are cooking up stories and trying to give lame reasons for ltte...sinhala only act was with drawn as soon as it was introduced.
I am asking for numbers and you are point 'thousands and thousands' stories...
praba is TAMILS' sole problem since 1987. Because of one(half)man tamil people are dying it is because of our all cowardiceness.
Praba will not even bring tamils any freedom or relieve that we even enjoyed in 70s and 80s..let's see who is right..time will tell. |

Let Tamils deal with their leaders. They are intelligent enough to know who the friends and who the enemies are.
Tamils elected people like Ananthasangaree for 30 years since 1947 till 1983 to find a solution to the Sinhala Only Act which is the LAW of the land as it is today. If you want check the govt website. Every agreement these democratic Tamil leaders signed with Sinhala leaders were abrogated due to the opposition from the Sinhala-Buddhist monks and the opportunist Opposition Parties and ensured anti-Tamil riots. So Tamils supported LTTE and its leader.
So long as Sinhala leaders control minorities they will oppose hegemony.
4,000 died in 1983 riots. The riots were stopped only by LTTE by hitting back at the thugs and army that engineered and carried out riots following the electoral registers of Tamils supplied by their political masters.

Why only from 1987? Prabha started in 1972..! Why you removed the period from 1972 to 1987? Is it because he put a stop order to other movements in 1987? If yes, were you hurt by that? :P

Sintamus: 83 Riots were stopped because Indra Sent (and prepared to send Indian Army-even IAF Helis circled Colombo) 'MEDICAL/HOSPITAL' Ship to Colombo. Ltte's hit back was Anuradhapura for the riots ..OK..ltte didn't stop the riots India did it.

If it weren't for Premadasa IPKF would have finished Praba. Praba sensed his days are numbered with IPKF that is why he fell at Premadasa's feet :)
ask any one in Jaffna what was ltte's operation in Jaffna during late 89 and 90 IPKF well secured it....
we know how ltte was standing against IPKF...heheh
