It is insane to say that LTTE is 'weak' while they are inflicting heavy casualities to SLA.
If LTTE is doing this, they must show with evidence, rather than just numbers that no one can prove (this is same for GOSL).
Seeking for talks must have some hidden eggs...! |

They have maintained silence most probably that is the orders from LTTE.
When your enemy has set his own house on fire you don't need to fuel it, just watch it burn. If you think its blowing out may be you might throw some fuel. |

Just look back for the last 30 years. Has LTTE worked according to GOSL time table or GOSL worked according to LTTE time table?
LTTE has never found it necessary to convince any one other than the Tamils. This was the initial clash with India. VP did not want to dance to India's tune. |

The offer of the LTTE for a ceasefire and talks should not be construed as any desperation on our (LTTE) part to stop the war. The ball is in the Sri Lankan government's court. It was they who started the armed attack, Nadesan was quoted as saying by Mr Suresh Premachandran, a TNA MP from Jaffna district who was present at the meeting.

My personal view is, if LTTE is coming for talks, its good to accept that. Let LTTE to cover the face with its own interpretation, but for the people in Sri Lanka, GOSL must talk than pushing for war.

This is what TNA is supposedly saying not Nadesen.

This is not a offer to GOSL but a response to TNA idea of peace talks.

My personal view is, if LTTE is coming for talks, its good to accept that.
LTTE is coming for talks because time is in their favor for Kosovo-like resolution.
No matter what happens at the end, Tamils will be overwhelming majority in NE. They speak different language, different religion. Thus they deserve to be an independent country, just like Kosovo. IC will come to this conclusion regardless what happens with war.

Prabhakaran usually delivers on his words unlike Mahinder and the Sinhalese loud mouths.
My money in on Prabhakaran .
Just remember the only victory GoSL had is in taking the east only because Karuna was there. Do not think you can do the same in the North.
