If this is true, there must be a sad situation in LTTE side FDL.
Any one saying this is true or false for sure is just a lie because no one has the actual picture and the people having don't want to give it.
My intelligent guess is that it is false.
The reason in my estimate: GOSL knows it is moving towards a stalemate and wants any advantages it could get and it has gone on overdrive using false propaganda.
False number of LTTE casualties
VP hurt in air attack
Charles Anthoney hurt in attack
Soosi is at odds with VP
VP is trying to escape to a foreign country
VP is dieing
VP has lost a foot and not in control
Forty LTTE surrendered (These kids already surrendered to the court asking for protection long ago)

VP is looking for Kosovo type solution.

Its fair, if GOSL seeks a moral decrease of LTTE. It may indirectly decrease the total number of deaths from both side.
Also, GOSL can justify that action in front of IC telling its to convince LTTE to come for talk and to find peace.
But, the latest request from LTTE through TNA for talks shows 2 possibilities,
1. Its weak and need a break.
2. Its a pre-requirement that some IC (may be EU member), asked before intervene, to rescue LTTE. |

It's like the CEO of a major corporation promising his staff a huge pay rise right before the company goes bankrupt.
And the gullible staff members are left with no peelam in their bank account.

To be honest I take this as propaganda too. They don't identify the TNA parliamentarian who brought this message. Its ten days after the funeral that this has come out. Don't you think GOSL would have publicly jumped up and down before now?
