Politics in SL is not for the people but the politicians. So there is nothing different. They have already got the approval of 2M down payment.

The civilians of east have gone through different stages in politics and their lives have gone from bad to worse. I don't see anything changing.

biggest enemy of the Sinhalese are Tamils

biggest enemy of the Tamils are Tamils themsleves

I strongly disagree with the first part, as Sinhala Buddhist are their worst enemies. If they agreed to honour any one of the agreements their leaders signed with SJV in the late 50tees and early 60tees the country would have prospered and all Sri Lankans would have enjoyed the fruit of it but they chose to abrogate them and plunge the country in the armed conflict in which the youths die leaving widows and orphans.

In Sri Lankan history brothers killed their siblings with the help of foreign forces to capture power. Some Tamil quislings benefit financially at the expense of their community, you cannot call them Tamils, they are traitors whom you can find in any community and any country. Karuna is one of them and properly disposed of, others also will face the same fate after their use-by-date.

Besides, tamil terrorists, Sri Lanka is the bqattle ground for other interest groups.

Some have business and strategic interests while others have religious interests which is the major driving force in SriLanka now.

Because Asia is the major battle ground now.

Hmmmm!
Some have business and strategic interests while others have religious interests which is the major driving force in SriLanka now.

Do you come-up with all these theories by yourself?

What is it that SL has that cannot be supplied by another economy?
With today's technology does SL geography matter?
Religions always have interests in humans and that is not limited to SL. If it is what are the Buddhists trying to do in US and Canada? Same with Islam.

devolution Package with the 13th amendment of Sri Lanka's Constitution.

India is ecstatic if GOSL implement the 13th Amendment because then Sri Lanka becoming another iNDIA is constitutionalized.

Other wise, 13th amendment and the provincial councils are burden to Sri Lanka.

PRovincial councils means more politicians and more corruption, wastage and bureaucracy.

when we have to start paying PErsonal income taxes to maintain all those politicians , people will start hating those people.

what we need is a small and an efficient govt.

Not many pOliticians just SECOND ONLY TO THE NUMBER OF GODS AND ANGELS SUPPOSED TO BE PROTECTING SRI LANKA.
