	Why do you believe all these stories when GOSL says that there is media freedom in SL. Human rights and media freedom are all for giving rights to LTTE and to communalist tamils to devide the Country. Center for policy alternatives is also promoting Tamil - communalism.

After the LTTE retreated from the East the Government discarded Karuna and promoted more easily manipulatable Pillaiyan and smuggled the former into Britain by duping its High Commission into issuing him a diplomatic visa. Such is the calibre of the SL govt and its ministers.

Associated Press, Fri March 14, 2008 12:14 EDT . - - COLOMBO, Sri Lanka - (AP) Sri Lanka - summoned the U.S. ambassador on Friday to protest the latest U.S. State Department report on human rights, saying it presented a distorted and exaggerated view of the situation on the Indian Ocean island.

The U.S. Embassy said the U.S. government stands by the report. ''Our goal ... is always to be fair and objective,'' it said in a statement.
