Berty,
will prefer Filipinos who are Fair & very good in English

You can say so, but here in Aust, Sri Lankas are having a very good regard. There are SL teachers, but I have never see any Filipinos.

In ME, they have a better market for Filipinos I think.

I cannot agree more with you!

But I have some reservation over your notion that it is going to end up in a pact like in the past. I think this time it will go beyond that for the simple reason that Sri LAnkans are well aware that it is hightime for a paradigm shift! Though we cannot expect a drastic shift, it will evolve in to one! I'm optimistic!

I think MR is relatively genuine, that is why 'WE TAMILS' don't like him unlike RW or CBK!

May I ask you, why are Tamils so scared of Sinhala-Buddhist identity?

Ariyalal,

You continuously avoid mentioning LTTE's aggressive militarization during CFA, while only accusing Govt of not demilitarizing it self.

May I remind you that RW virtually confined the Army to its barracks, and allowed LTTE'ers to roam freely wherever they like.

Have you forgotten that Govt was so demilitarized, that it even failed to take care of its intel operatives?

Is this not demilitarization to the very core?

Why did LTTE become militarily strong during CFA in the first place?

Is it not because Govt 'demilitarized' it self and turned a blind eye to LTTE's Blatant Militarization?

This is the fundamental failure in CFA. The Govt Demilitarized it self, while LTTE Militarized it self to be the most sophisticated terror group in the World! The imbalance was staggering.

How come people have selective amnesia about what LTTE did during CFA? There are two sides to every coin!

You cannot practically except the Govt, with its right to protect the sovereignty of this country, to close shop, completely demilitarize it self, say Ta Ta and go away, while LTTE continuously armed it self to its teeth?

Please give me a break!

As for this Sinhala Buddhist thing, its nonsense.

Buddhism is ingrained in the culture of Sri Lanka, and its not easy to separate it from the state.
