Hunger for power is nothing new to nothern folks. This is a slice of Sri Lankan history. Look at following so called rulers of Srilanka.
PULAHATHA 103-100 BC Tamil Chief Reigned supreme for three years and was murdered by his Chief Minister, Bahiya.
BAHIYA 100-98 BC Chief Minister of Pulahatha Ruled for two years with the Chief Panayamara as Prime Minister who also murdered him and took power.
PANAYAMARA 98-91 BC Prime Minister of Bahiya Reigned for seven years and was murdered by his Chief Minister, Piliyamara
PILAYAMARA 91 BC Chief Minister of Panayamara Reigned for seven months and was murdered by his Chief Minister, Dathiya
DATHIYA 90-88 BC Chief Minister of Pilayamara Reigned for two years before he was killed.

TMVP - a mostly tamil party - by coming into democratic stream, helps restoring normalcy and defeating terrorism
i know lot of people (relatives and friends) who live in Northeast and fear TMVP abduction, ransoms, etc. they are a menace, banning newspapers, kidnap children for nothing . MPs Pararajasingham, Vigneswaran and Raviraj were killed by TMVP, you call them democratic... |

The way of the TMVP could be the way out for LTTE. Seems like the tamil people liked the TMVP once they lost the guns.
I hope same will happen in the north soon. For the sake of our country and all the civilians sufferring. |

Everyone knows why they supported the LTTE. They thought the LTTE will bring them 'liberation'. And the LTTE promised them that while taking their money. It is a 30 year old mistake. LTTE can still represent the people of the north if they become more creative. And stop the suffering.

2 days ago i met 4 academics working in Eastern and North eastern universities, they said people were very much looking forward to vote.

Hopefully there will be a lot of positives out of this vote.. Maybe they will elect the wrong guy initially. you cant fix decades of wrongs in one vote.. It will give some hope in the least.
