I don't think VP is in any mood to work with TMVP but there is a good chance part of the old group could rejoin
it depends on how GOSL handles the area. if GOSL embarks on a colonisation scheme in Batticaloa, which many people fear, then certainly there will be flow of recruits to LTTE. this winning the minds campaign carried out by GOSL will not last long, remember they were doing these things in other parts of the Northeast after capturing them with very little success

Look, VP is the most influential person in the region today. VP can negotiate peace with Pillaiyan and make Pillaiyan peacefully merge East to Vanni... killing Pillaiyan may not do any good to VP. But, it is possible Pillaiyan himself will realise and align with VP.

Sri Lanka belongs to Tamils Muslims & Sinhalese
There is no Tamil areas, Muslim areas or Sinhalese areas in Sri Lanka.
A smarter peaceful method to achieve peace is to settle 200,000 Muslims 200,000 Sinhalese in the vacant land of Wanni.
Think Sri Lankan. It is the only way out of this mess.

VP has support everywhere, even in Colombo. that is why Colombo Tamils harbour suicide bombers, militants to carry out attacks in South, etc.
i dont think just because an area is under GOSL control, the support for LTTE will decrease. |

I was asking about the Regions EEELamaya talking about where VP is the most influential person. Do you think VP is the most influential person in Colombo?
You dont have to be the most influential person to explode some bombs or carry suicide attacks all you need is a few idiots who are willing to die :)
what you are saying is more like saying Bin Laden is the most influential person in Bagdhad.

Where have you been man? Anyone living in SL knows that VP is the most influential person in the island... he is the kingpin who decided the last few governments in Sri Lanka.. VP dominates the Tamil Nadu landscape... as TN is a major player in Indian central govt, VP's infuence extends to even to the very top of Indian government... |

The TMVP secured 8 out of the 9 local bodies at the Batticaloa local government elections held yesterday. The UPFA won the Batticaloa Municipal Council.
