Gonna,
Sure they have excellent pilots now. Do you know how many of them are already leaving SriLankan to work for Emirates
I didn't know that. Sorry to hear because we have excellent pilots.. And I always find our crews are much plesant and caring comparison to some air lines..
Most people leave the country these days..May be because of the pay.. Other thing is it is becoming a style in the country.. Everyone has to do what other's do.. |

Pedro,
This pet airline of MR is faliure even before the start. Millions of govt money wasted on this and a few must have become very rich in the process
I do feel the same way about this air line now...End of the day Sri Lankan politicians whole motive is getting richer using Govt. money |

No doubt SriLankan Cabin Crews are among the best.. I can guarantee that AirCanada, American & maybe United are among the worst. :)
Another point is, There are some SLAF pilots that joined the forces around 20 years ago that are retiring. There are some real brilliant airmen looking to join a Commercial airliner and I think with Emirates pulling out, SriLankan will not be their first choice anymore.
You are right. People are leaving like crazy. All over the place...

This is just an indication how the half baked ventures of this president will turn out to be.
He and his brothers are killing 1000s of youths from the South, East and North to satisfy their egoism. All his wasteful advances will end of in withdrawals like this MihinAir. CBK wasted 8 years of her presidency on 'war for peace' and now this one is wasting on the failed 'War on terrorism' ill thought out President Bush and his goons wanted to wage against his opponents.
These presidents have no principles but follow their generals who have their own agenda. People and the country pay the price for the experiments of these short-sighted leaders. |

You got the part about the Generals all wrong.
They cherry pick generals that will dance to their drums. Seniority / Rank in the forces does not matter.. They know who will tango and that person will be selected to run the force. While others were forcefully retired.
It is even worse in the police force. The current IGP is a knuckle-dragging primate...who likes to tango.. :) |
