LTTE is on the run

Colombo blast toll climbs, Sri Lanka says another 45 Tigers killed
google.com, March 1, 2008, 09:21 EDT. COLOMBO (AFP) A police officer wounded in a suicide bombing died in hospital Saturday, a hospital spokesman said as Sri Lanka's defence ministry claimed security forces had killed 45 rebels in fresh fighting.
The policeman died of his injuries a day after being caught in a huge blast detonated by a suspected Tamil Tiger rebel during a search operation in the city.

'One of the three police officers wounded in Friday's bombing died today,' a hospital spokesman said, adding that six others wounded in the explosion were still undergoing treatment.

The blast, which went off when police approached a house in Colombo's commercial district of Kotahena, was heard across the city of 650,000 people.

Police said the bomber was believed to be a member of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE).

Berty,

The SL military treats its heroes very well but the case of
Gen Pannipitiya is different. He was no hero and the SL military establishment knows it. The SL military reclaimed the East without a fight when the LTTE withdrew. Gen Pannipitiya happened to be the commanding officer at the time and both he and the SL military cannot claim any credit for walking into and occupying the East without a shot being fired.

The shoddy treatment of Gen Pannipitiya by the SLA establishment has smashed the myth that the SLA defeated the Tigers in the East. Now the SL military are finding out the hard way how difficult it is to beat the Tigers. Six months of heavy fighting and they are still hardly more than a few metres from their own FDLs. LOL

Last week VP lost one of his legs.

This week he has gangrene in his leg.

Is it the same leg?

The custodians of VPs leg should have put it in Formalin otherwise it will rot and not get gangrene.

What kind of entertainment these modayas get by this I don't know. Maybe since there is no cheer at the frontlines the military borumongers have to keep the sinhala gullibles entertained with these kinds of stories.

Sri Lanka should enact again the Sirima - Shastri or what ever the agreement and those upcountry tamils who were promised to send back to India should send back.

JVP because of political greed gave citizenship to Indian Tamils. In that way, they screw up Sri Lanka.

I think, Here SLA Commander is going to talk about his Military experience in getting rid of LTTE. that will be valuable training information to India which has so many Terrorist groups.

This gangrene story has come through Rajapakse's internet outlet Asian Tribune which also says:

that a specialist doctor and a medical team were flown into the Wanni region from Tamil Nadu to treat Prabhakaran.

It also says that the Tamil Nadu govt (and obviously the Indian central govt are) is also aware of the medical team's visit to the Vanni to treat VP.

I wonder why the Indians are so interested in keeping VP alive while the SL govt is so interested in killing him as soon as possible.

Looks like Mr Ponseka going for 6 days intensive military training...good that he has realised atleast now he hasn't got enough training yet.

SLA - Commander is going to teach Indian Army about the disadvantages of In-subordination to the Superior and how to escape death when you are stubborn and dumb military officers as that happened to IPKF.

IPKF was sitting ducks in the middle of LTTE and SLA.

they tried to screw up both LTTE and SLA and and instead, SLA and LTTE got rid of IPKF.
