I think LTTE will face the real test from now on.
If it turns into political path sooner, it will help to minimize the damage and protect its valuable human resource for the future.

Its fast moving unchanged journey only taking it to the destruction.

i dont think LTTE needs to change anything except keep locked on the target , let the TNA do the job so called 'political transformation ' hope the TNA would get the due respect from sinahala political , there is nothing more to lose from Tamil Side but now we see SRILANKA is simply suffering financially and morally , and there is not sinhalse living a in peace of mind full of uncertainty , they cant go like this for another year , more war more destruction for Sinhalese .

His main idea is to ship all the state-less Tamils to their Home-Land Tamil Nadu..!

we Can't Feed all you State-less Coolies everyday....!

why you go that far ? simply send the upcountry tamils to their brothers country TAMIL EELAM much easier than sending to Tamil Nadu , dont feed them simply tell LOUDLY AND OPEN the reason why cant ,the tamils will take care .

Thambi,

This is the point that GOSL gets the advantage.
We will see in coming months. Yes, I agree war is a real headache to south, but its a deadly one to LTTE now.

If LTTE's central power is intact, I think, its very busy with finding ways to how to stop the possible SLA advance.

Options are not only strong FDLs..!

The way 'Thoppigala hero' is treated by SL Army cannot be aproved -Supreme Court

(Lanka-e-news, 1st March 2008, 8.30pm) Supreme Court Judge, Mr. Nimal Gamini Amaratunga told yesterday (29th) that 'even though it is telecasting 'Api Venuven Api' (we are for us) in every half and hour, it is noted that they do not have themselves atleast' , when the petition of fundamental rights submitted by Major General Parakrama Pannipitiya was considered. He further stated that after rescuing Thoppigala, it was treated that the duty of the Military Commanding Officer (East) is over and he is no more a wanted person, and the way of Thoppigala hero was treated by the Sri Lanka Army could not be approved.

He stated as above while Mr. Manohara Silva PC was submitting facts on behalf of the petitioner.

Major General Parakrama Pannipitiya was submitted this petition against transfering him from the post of Military Commanding Officer (East) without any reason, ordering him to hand over the residence at Sumit Flats and violating Clause 12 (1) - treat equally- of the constitution by not giving security and allocated vehicles to the petitioner.

Army Commander Lt. General Sarath Fonseka, Military Secretary Brig. Alwis and few other Army Officers and Attorney General are the respondents of this petition.

The petition was considered in front of the Chief Justice Sarath N. Silva, Justice Nimal Gamini Amaratunga and Justice Jagath S. Balapatabendi.

Appearing on behalf of the petitioner, Mr. Manohara Silva PC stated that 'Petitioner was steering the troops to capture East from the terrorists. Thoppigala was captured under his leadership. Once the military operations are success, celebrations are done by other people and thereafter, orders are issued to such hero to leave the residence . If he is told that he is getting a quarters from

Panagoda, we cannot forget what happened to Parami Kulatunga while travelling from Panagoda. This is a problem regarding security. He is given a vehicle without self start. If he has any accusations, it can be inquired but do not put his life into danger'.

Government Senior Attorney, Nerin Pulle appeared on behalf of the respondents said that the petitioner was accused for cheating Rs, 2,800,000/- on food rations and an inquiry is going on against him.

On hearing facts from both parties, panel of Supreme Court Judges decided to inquire in to the petition and issued orders to Army Commander to withdraw his request to the petitioner to vacate the Summit Flats residence, Keppetipola Mawatha, Colombo before 28th February 2008 and allow him to stay there until the petition is finalized.

Supreme Court rejected the petitioners request to order the Army Commander to re-appoint him as the Commanding Officer (East), but ordered Army Commander to arrange the security and the vehicles allocated for a Commanding Officer. Accordingly, petitioner is getting a Vehicle allocated for a Staff Officer, 01 Double Cab, 01 Jeep and 02 Motorcycles.

Respondents were ordered to submit any objections within 6 weeks and the petition will be inquired on 17th May 2008.

'Troops killed 22 LTTE (Tamil Tiger) terrorists in fighting in Mannar, Vavuniya and Jaffna on Friday,' said military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara.

He could not explain why the government's Defence Ministry Web site was reporting that 45 Tigers had been killed -- double the military's statistics.
Source: Reuters, today.

Hehehehe...

Borudefence.net spokesman is unable to explain the discrepancy in the number of LTTE deaths quoted in it's own website. Caught out, eh? LOL

Telling lies ain't gonna win you the war against the Tigers, mate. No wonder Gen Funseeker has gone begging to India for help but he ain't gonna get it.At least I hope he has some fun while he is there with the ladies of the night.

Prabhakaran has gangrened leg that could be amputated
Sat, Mar 1 05:35 PM

Colombo, Mar,1 (ANI): Velupillai Prabakaran, the reclusive leader of Sri Lanka's rebel Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) is reported to be suffering from a badly gangrened leg, which could be amputated.

According to an Asian Tribune report, Prabhakaran is holed up in a highly secret location in Wanni that has been declared out of bounds for senior LTTE cadres, including Pottu Amman, the intelligence Chief and Sosai, the head of the Sea Tigers.

Prabakaran who is also critically diabetic and has an injured shoulder needs immediate hospitalization, said the report.

The paper quoted reliable sources as saying that a specialist doctor and a medical team were flown into the Wanni region from Tamil Nadu to treat Prabhakaran.

The Asian Tribune further said that authorities in Tamil Nadu were aware of the medical team's visit to the Wanni region, but id not interfere. No reason was given for this.

Prabhakaran was injured in the shoulder during an aerial bombing in January. He had an old injury which he sustained in an aerial bombardment in November.

Gangrene - is a complication of necrosis (i.e., cell death) characterized by the decay of body tissues, which become black and malodorous. It is caused by infection or ischemia, such as from thrombosis (blocked blood vessel). It is usually the result of critically insufficient blood supply (e.g., peripheral vascular disease) and is often associated with diabetes.

Sources further revealed that taking Prabakaran out of the country for treatment is risky. (ANI with inputs)
