Sri Lanka is also the only country where prices of anything never come down!
Australia is also like Sri Lanka.
Not all, but most of the prices are going up. As ANUD said, due to inflation, prices in Japan have gone down considerably.
But, its not practical if we compare SL with these countries. |

Tamils is a Tamil, man! I do not know what you mean? We Tamils are not decendents of an animal. We Tanils are decendents of proud nation that existed in NE part of island formerly called Ceylon. |

But, making Buddhism state religion and hurting the feelings of other religious groups is anti democratic and outright destrictive.
This matter is important and GOSL must discuss it with other ethnic groups. One option may be give religions to the same position that GOSL give for languages today. |

India is the only Country in the world which is truly Secular and that was by Default.
Because, India was the founding nation for at least two world religeons namely, Buddhism and Hinduism.
All other countries in the world are not secular. Western world is secular with respect to different sects of Christianity.
Buddhism is part of Sinhala Culture. Once Buddhism is side lined Sinhala - Civilization also becomes extinct.
So, Sansare need to THINK. |

For instance in UK, Australia, NZ, US the price of oil does go up AND comes down as well. In Sri Lanka if the price of oil goes up does it come down? Similarly the price of some commodities goes up and also comes down but not in Sri Lanka!
Gas is set to up by Rs.265 within the next few days bringing a 13.5kg domestic cylinder to almost Rs.1700. Name any one country where the prices go up so drastically and never comes down.
According to you people in what way is Sri Lanka a 'Mila basina raajya'?

Yes, This is a sensitive issue.
Thats why I wrote with MUST DISCUSS and ONE OPTION IS,...etc.
People must consider this issue comparative to the gravity of ethnic issue. I hope we can come up with a solution. Since the Majority is Buddhist, it will be protected, even without political back.
Anyway, I agree fully with the value of our Buddhist culture, with full respect to other religions.

that is why All the Sri Lankan Tamils should get Sinhala names and start reading MAHAVAMSA as their history.

You need to read what the Last POPE said.
According to him, ASIA is the most important battle ground.
BUSH, a born again Christian, has personally given OK to convert whole India to Christianity.
They are also in the process of Converting China and boasts about over 10% conversion.
There are many programs for Asia and for Muslim Countries.
Present IRAQ and Afghanistan Wars are part of that too. |
