I am sure you can understand everything I said perfectly the way I meant it. There is no point in arguing further. Before you blame the military for civilian casualties, you have to blame the LTTE.

Now all of these points would be mute, if the leadership has foresight, willpower and resolve to look at the human tragedy that is unfolding.

Runaway SLA soldier arrested in Jaffna
TamilNet, Monday, 25 February 2008, 13:40 GMT

A Sri Lanka Army (SLA) soldier who ran away Friday noon from his camp in Neerveali-Irupaalai area in Valikaamam East was caught two days later, hiding in the shrub jungle in the same area, in an extensive search operation launched by the SLA. The said soldier had run away in protest against the order transferring him to Colombo SLA Head Quarters, SLA authorities told Jaffna Additional Magistrate Mr. Vasanthasenan when he was produced before the magistrate Monday.

All vehicles on Jaffna-Point Pedro road were searched thoroughly in the two day search looking for the soldier.

Local media speculated that the soldier was likely under stress due to long assignment in Jaffna without vacation.

Thus there is no alternative centre of attraction for the eastern cadres. Divided loyalty is becoming a thing of the past. They are being re -integrated into the LTTE and are plunging into battle with clear objectives.

It cannot be forgotten that Eastern cadres under Karuna played a decisive role in the jayasilkurui and oyatha Alaigal battles in the Wanni.

The presence of Ramesh and deployment of the East - raised Jeyanthan Infantry division demonstrates closing of ranks within the LTTE.

see thambi, this soldier loves jaffna's fertile ground so much he doesn't even want to be in the army if he is transfered out of jaffna..

OK, lets blame both of them!! shall we?? or lets say,,

your forces are not capable of killing the ltte without killing the Tamil civilians in Vanni or elsewhere likewise the ltte is not capable of evacuating the sl forces in jaffna without a scratch to the Tamils living there.

do you agree with it??

if you do,, we should call for the end to the war,,and push for a power sharing governing system based on the con federal concept the least??

if not will you agree that your forces know very well that they cannot completely win the war against the Tamils but the forces are killing the Tamils in the name of killing the ltte? a genocidal war??
