| | Mannaar Sea trade Sunday, 24 February 2008 - 12:35 PM SL Time | | | Probably, the Mannaar region where the entire Sri Lankan Islanders` history have begun. Because, the distance between Indian subcontinent and Sri Lanka is very narrower at Mannaar. Our ancestors from India could have reached the island by crossing the sea by feet.
Here is my short and incomplete `composite` history lesson of Mannaar region.

Good Stuff,
Has to make a trip there once your boss is gone.
Hey Sri, Buy him a ticket and send him on a holiday where Interpol won't look for him.
Where could that be?
I know a Brigadier in the SL army and she is from Mannar.

...once your boss is gone.
I thought 'My Boss was gone' four time already. Once, your people captured the Mannaar, you will have an open ticket. |

Sri :
Great stuff as always.
Your article reinforce that it is easy for Tamils to inhabit this Island than any one
from else where because Tamil Nadu is so close and it only takes few hours to reach here as expedition or immigration.

T19,
I just noticed the way you produce your articles with vertical pictures.
You follow the same pattern every time.
Why??

Sri,
Good stuff. I like the new feature on TamilNet.
Mannaar is known to ancients for pearls and for his trade port.
Hey, the baobab tree on your article, is , if i'm not wrong, the oldest tree in Sri Lanka ! |

Nale / tigeress19,
T19, the reason for Nale calling me in that way, I guess, a year ago or so we had an discussion about ML's identity. A few of us accused ML could have access to Priya's account. Then, Nale said he suspected that handle Sritharan and T19 might be the same person.
OR,
Probably, Nale did not remember whose homepage he was in.

Again, it is believed that the name Tabrobane is the corruption of 'Tamba-Panni', a name given to Ceylon in the Sinhalese chronicles Mahawamsa and Dipawamsa. A few other historians believe that on the opposite coast of India there is a river called Tamaraparani and the Tamils may have brought the name with them to Ceylon.
