Bonggo,
Why should GOSL back them
Jinasena Ltd, turned out a hand tractor in Sri Lanka and due to the taxes imposed by the govt it became cheaper for Jinasenas to manufacture and import it from China.
When the Micro cars were initially manufactured in Sri Lanka the RMV refused to register them saying they did not comply to Sri Lankan standards. They had to take it to court to get the matter sorted out.
So enterprises that are beneficial to the country must be given encouragement and support by the government and not impose obstacles. That is what s meant by backing them, it's the support and encouragement to progress.

Sri Lanka was producing and assembling desk top computers from 1990. Most of domestic and company used computers assembled in Sri Lanka. PC Land, PC world and many other small scale companies were assembling and manufacturing computers from 1990s. This may be a propaganda for this particular company. This is not a news.
You will see in this picture that monitors are old fashioned. You must see the long standing computer manufacturing and assembling companies' computers.
They are much up to date.
People in rural areas use computers with inverters with dry batteries. This is not an invention. This company must be fooling the villages by selling out dated computers which are been rejected.
