Are those Eleam Tamil lives very cheap?

Sunday, 10 February 2008 - 10:27 AM SL Time

Kumudam:
=======

How could you suggest that ADMK and its leader Jayalalithaa`s stance on LTTE do not justify, since MGR himself believed in Eleam?

Pulamipithan:
============

MGR solely supported the independence state for Eleam Tamil from the beginning.

He gave away several crores for the cause.

Once he asked Thambi (Velupillai Prabhakaran) how much it would cost to wage a successful war for independence Tamil Eleam, Thambi said (after a silent) it would cost at least about 100 crores.

MGR said `Let See.`

Jayalalithaa may not like to support the LTTE or Tamil Eleam, but she could keep quiet about whole thing.

Sinhalese killed thousands and thousands of Tamils.

As a Tamil party leader, Jaya should not support the genocide by alliance with anti-Tamil elements.

She should not let one assassination (Rajiv Gandhi`s) to ruin whole livelihood of Eleam Tamil.

Kumudam:
========

How did MGR support Tamil Eleam and at the same time the Indo-Sri Lankan Accord?

Pulamipithan:
============

MGR did not support Indo-Sri Lankan Accord.

During that time, MGR suffered from chronic illness and rested in the bed for while.

Rajiv insisted MGR that he should support the accord or should ready to be replaced with another Chief Minister.

One of ministers from the MGR`s government descried to Rajiv the atrocities that had been committed by Indian Army in Eleam Soil.

He simply ridiculed the minister.

I don`t like to share Rajiv`s comment here.

Kumudam:
=======

Does that justify the assassination of Rajiv?

Pulamipithan:
=============

I didn`t enjoy the assassination of Rajiv.

It should be averted.

I am ready to cry for Rajiv`s death with Congress Party.

Are they ready to moron with me for the thousands and thousands of Tamil had been slaughtered by Indian Army?

Are those Eleam Tamil lives very cheap?

Sritharan,

Sorry, I do not see what objective you want to achieve by this post.

Once he asked Thambi (Velupillai Prabhakaran) how much it would cost to wage a successful war for independence Tamil Eleam, Thambi said (after a silent) it would cost at least about 100 crores.

This proves

(a) Either Thambi is a poor planner or
(b) MGR never gave him money or
(c) MGR gave him money but Thambi used them for his children's education and wife's sarees.

Well, I like to show the recent 'resurfacing' of Tamil Eleam support among various quarters in Tamil Nadu, where politicians and people have been quiet for a while after assassination of Rajiv Gandhi. There were many political demonstrations, even though they had been orchestrated by much smaller political parties.

Many Indian Tamil start to ask question about Indian Army's atrocities in Eleam. They try to conclude that Indian involvement in an Eleam affair was untimely and politically motivated process, which overlooked the legitimate grievance of Eleam Tamils.

That is funny, isn't it ML!

That should be 'Are they ready to moan'!

I know you already knew that! :)

Kankun,

I am not familiar with his work either. But, I know he penned down hundreds or more so lyrics for Tamil movies.

ML,

Are you sure its not 'mourn' ???

I think I tried to translate direct meaning of what he has meant. He said he still 'cry out loud' for the death Eleam Tamil.

So I thought word 'moan' should be appropriate.

Moan = A low, sustained, mournful cry
