SLA was ALLEGED to take no action when Karuna faction abducted children. Tell me where you read about SLA kidnapping children for combat training?
Mate, the Karuna faction is a SLA proxy outfit. The SLA has total control over it and it carries out the orders of the SLA. As we all know now, Karuna was the Goatboy's puppet on a string.
Being the army of a so called democratically elected government, and, controlling the Karuna faction totally, it had the power to stop the Karuna faction forcibly recruiting children. But it didn't do so, because it needed the numbers to carry out its dirty deeds in the East.
Basically the SLA was complicit in the forcible child recruitment of the Karuna faction. Evernone in Sri Lanka and the world over knew this. Please don't think that others are fools. You can't hide or explain something like this away that easily.

You must be joking. VP made MR the president of Sri Lanka and got $500 million for it. MR is still dancing to VPs music while MR and his brothers are minting money. MR is playing the fiddle while Sri Lanka burns, man.
VP had many sinhala leaders on a string and Mahinda is one on a very short line.So MR is definitely VPs puppet on a string.

Sri Lanka's rupee up at 13-month high shares rise
COLOMBO, Feb 1 - Sri Lanka's rupee rose to a 13-month high on Friday as foreign investors lapped up high-yielding rupee-denominated bonds, while shares again closed firmer as overseas players put aside war fears.
The rupee rose to 107.67/73 per dollar, up from Thursday's 107.80/88, and its highest since Jan. 4, 2007.

Sorry Lanka is just managing to keep it's head above the water because of foreign aid. Value of the rupee tells you nothing when you have an inflation rate of above 26%.
The people are starving and you are crowing about how much the SL Rupee is worth against the Dollar. If your military keeps firing shells costing several thousand dollars each at the present rate on a daily basis for a few more months Soory Lanka will sink without a trace. |
