Sri Lanka blast in Dambulla town kills 13
Feb 02, 2008 (LBO) -- An explosion at a bus station in north-central Sri Lanka Saturday killed at least 13 people and wounded 20, police said.
The bomb went off in a bus in Dambulla, in the north-central province of the island, at around 7.00 am, the defence ministry said.
The town is located on the main highway going to the north of the island, where the Tamil Tigers are fighting for a separate state.
The bus was traveling to the north-central town of Anuradhapura from Kandy in the central hills.
The A-9 highway linking the northern Jaffna peninsular through the Tiger-held Wanni areas starts from Kandy.
Civillian killings in Sri Lanka's internal conflict have intensified after the government pulled out of a ceasefire with the Tamil Tigers in January.
The Tigers have been blamed for blasting a bus in southern Sri Lanka on the same day that the ceasefire expired. |

Where's Dewey? He claimed DPU claymore there was no benifit to the SLA and so must have been work of the LTTE, so this there is no benifit to the LTTE so must be work of the SLA.
Where is Sideshow Sangaree, previous attacko n school kids he said the area was too far behind in LTTE areas so can't be SLA, well guess what this area is too far behind SLA lines so can't be LTTE... |

he'll be creeping out of his kenel soon to say that Madhu bus bomb was carried out by LTTE to justify the Dambulla bus bomb...
this war is a nice profit making scheme for sangary! |

in all honesty, Dewey is more racist than AnuD and Vini. especially the level he goes to deny GOSL crimes.
In eurpoe it is illegal to deny or even downplay the holocaust, but among GOSL supporters denying crimes carried out by their gov is a civilised thing

I think it is more like patriotic duty which most do diligently.
The actually believe the GoSL, SlAF SLA, SNL SLAF and Paramilitary do NOT kill Tamil Civilians , only LTTE kills civilians, and that they are all innocent of any war crimes, only LTTE is guilty.
One day they will realize how they were misled and cheated by their own Govt.

Dambul is not next to the war zone.
So, the bomb must be a deliberate attempt to ignite ethnic violence.
I wish people will not panic and start any unfortunate thing.
Tit for tat will never give a good image, specially for the majority group.
Let police to handle the situation. |

Velu and the LTTE has enough money to spend on bullets and bombs but do not have money to feed preganant mothers who produce children to keep the eelam hiopes alive ?
Instead, expects erik Solheim & the Norwegians to arrange send high protein biscuits to Wanni pregnant mothers ?
What does this point to ?

| This shows that even UNO is helping LTTE to continue armed strugle in SL. I think GOSL must take firm action on NGOs and some international organizations supporting terrorist in SL. It is obvious most of this biscuit are going to LTTE hand in LTTE controlled area. The other problem is the military and police will demoralize to do thier good work to stop providing logistic support to LTTE. |
