Sri Lankan rebels open to peace talks
The only way to make peace with a determined band of freedom fighters is to talk to them. Liberation Tigers are not just a rag-tag army, its a fullfledged defence establishment with land, air, and sea regiments composed of ferocious fighters.
Their support base of 80 million strong and spread around the world. No other freedom force has worldwide support in such dedicated scale, especially from Western countries.
Bin Laden, Yasser Arafat had some broad support, but not on the scale that the war veteran VP has.
VP's power base includes the highest echelons in India. Very soon, Washington will join VP support base. After Obama takes over with Hillary as Secy of State, the diplomatic power of Liberation Tigers will see a dramatic improvement. Thus, it is to the advantage of the Chingala state to start approaching Liberation Tigers, as Nadesan had hinted, right now -- prior to takeoff of Obama administration.
A delay of approaching Nadesan now may mean playing hardball with US government, which could come hard on the Singala regime.
It is doubtful if the Chingala regime is smart enough to see what is coming. But, they should not blame VP or Nadesan for not making this godwill gesture and offer of peace talks! |

ha ha how about Palestine:)
but still how Israel rapes hamass terrorist in to peaces :)
it is inevitable civilians getting killed in such war.
and i believe Israel has the right to do as much as air strikes as far hamas fire rockets to Israel ,becouse hamas has started it. |
