Both Tamils and Sinhalese have higher prevalence of colonial mentality, than the North Indians, Chinese and Arabs in western countries.
Integration in western society is important but should not be ignorant of your background.
Even Solomon Bandaranaike could not speak a word of Sinhala for major part of his life while in UK, until he went back and destroyed the country. |

Tamilnet is one of the pillars of Tamil Eelam.... as long as Tamils live Tamilnet keep growing.. It's fans now include US Ambassador, UN, World Bank, IMF, CIA, RAW, ISI, 80 million Tamils!
compared to the above mentioned visitors and groups, the sinhalese are zero count but the No.1 source and very very reliable news media for them , they do not accept it openly like they do in case of army debacles and child soldiers. |

Most are not ignorant. It's because of their inner feelings. What comes from within - is always there. What's from outside is easy to be overridden. When parents realise themselves - children naturally have that.
