The government media have been repeatedly saying that Mihin Lanka would take to the air today (21/12). $1 million has been paid for the `wet lease` of a plane which will be delivered next week, but over-flying rights have not yet been obtained from India due to non-payment of previous arrears. It is quite likely that the plane will be sitting on the tarmac at Katunayake not earning a single cent.
