these caste issues will be lesser important as the time goes if we had the correct education system!

tigress

caste system could only be eradicated from correct social upbringing. once education finished and a plum job is available, if there is lack of proper social upbringing, the person would soon adopt the caste system again. the society is part educated and part economic phenomena and everyone who has money would next try to achive higher social status. it is called self actualisation needs of people. Maslow has theorised a pyramid of needs people would try to achieve. self actualisation and respect is in the top levels. you can google and find Maslow theory.

Probably it doesnt happen anymore?... Doesnt sound like 21st century stuff.....

Caste was introduced by Brahmins to control other Sects of People.

This has become a curse but slowly in Metropolis cities caste system is getting Dissolved thanks to Education & Love marriages that are happening in Cities...

Though it may take time to remove caste effects in villages slowly...

may be your right..I don't disagree that there are no isolated incidents even now..

U will find similar incidents even down south or chennai..

The fact is these things are much less these days than in 60's and 70's

we have discussed this so many times and i am not sure why you always bring this topic when you walk in.!!

I think Kusumpan is trying to portray the two teen-age gang violence as caste fight. He should be shamed of himself for doing this.
