Spets,

you might be right here if the LTTE is banned only in Sri Lanka as a terrorist group

But Sri Lanka has not legally banned LTTE as a Terrorist group has it?

Any referendum over sri lankas issues should not be only aimed at tamils... referendum is for all sri lankans to decide the fate of the country...
try a referendum and ask the public what they prefer... Peelam concept will be rejected in a heart beat :)

Thala,
tell me what is self determination? how is it decided? why is tamil people (in north and east of the island not entitled to that in this island called Sri lanka after the britain has handed over the power to the people living in that island

it depends on how each person view it.. it might be different from each person.. but Prabas self determination cannot be archived the way Praba is trying too.. it is not the right path.. why would they be entitled to it? for the majority in the country does not accept separatism...British were invaders of Sri Lanka only thing they can did was leave the country and people voted.. and by the power of the majority a Sinhalese became the leader.. rest is history.. either we did mistakes agaisnt each other or not... but the future is what we need to look into.. but praba does not see that...

look if you think that Sri Lanka will hold a referendum only on the tamils it is not realistic.. we know clearly holding a referendum will be a waste of money and time...

because you know the results would not be favourable to sinhalese.

atleast understand that mjority of tamil people support ltte and tamieelam/ federal state with internal self determination in north and east.

so hereafter dont come up with silly argument that tamil people are not with ltte just because fair no of tamil people live under govt controlled area.

before it was a military victory over the SLDF.. now you have fallen low to hold referendums to get your eelam..

because world is in favour of unarmed struggle to achieve the rights. nothing wrong in following that when world is against armed form of freedom struggle. tamil people stared the struggle unarmed . it is due to state terror unleashed on peaceful struggle tamil people resorted to armed struggle.

but i dont think sinhala polity is ready to face any unarmed struggle of tamil people and sinhalese will still use state terror to supress it.

they are banned in almost all countries..

Largely for academic purposes. These countries are highly critical of the GOSL as well

but Sri Lanka has a legitimate government..

And therefore they get away with the weaknesses you find on the side of the LTTE

again according to you or anyone else true LTTE might not be terrorists.. but majority does not see it like that

If you believe that why have you not legally stated that? - because those whom you considered terrorists before are now in goverment?
