The military yesterday refuted LTTE claims that the Army had suffered another debacle in its latest push to capture the Kilinochchi town and also asserted that a time frame to accomplish the mission cannot be specified

Sour Grapes !

Military Spokesperson Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara told the Daily Mirror that although the Army had suffered casualties in Tuesday s battle the numbers were far less than that suffered by the LTTE.

Wat else to tell other than consoling Punnakku guzzlers !

Brigadier Nanayakkara added that the Army was also able to break open the bund and defence lines situated on the outskirts of Kilinochchi and was able to capture five km of land along that stretch

But this 5 KM bund is not leading towards Kilinochi !

We have not suffered a debacle. Instead we were able to capture more land. The fighting lasted for several hours in which the LTTE suffered heavy casualties, Brigadier Nanayakkara said

Forgotten so soon the 'Kill ratio' along with 'kiss Kilinochi' !

However denying the high number of casualties suffered by the troops, Brigadier Nanayakkara said that the Army had suffered 25 casualties and an estimated 10 had gone missing in Tuesday s fighting

36 dead bodies of the SLA soldiers have been recovered so far, 28 in Ki'linochchi and 8 in Ki'liaali, in the clearing missions following Tuesday's fighting. There are young recruits of the SLA, including child soldiers, engaged in the front by the SLA in Ki'linochchi.

you are assuming that lpte haven't suffered casualties like SLDF have mate

nope. ltte also suffered casualties. some reliable report says 75 death.tigers are always ready for ceasefire.

only heavy casualty from sldf side will compell MR agreeing for cf and talk.

that is the reality. that is the trend on previous occasions as well

I think Blake meant there is no known office for TamilNet that can be contacted. If the US Embassy wants to make a formal reply or statement it is usually in writing. Where are the TamilNet offices located?
