Berty Bro,
The pair is taking on Kreja, that's the best strategy.
If they can end up day two with a total of over 250, that will be really advantageous for SA. |

Military says no debacle
No time frame for taking Kilinochchi
By Jamila Najmuddin
The military yesterday refuted LTTE claims that the Army had suffered another debacle in its latest push to capture the Kilinochchi town and also asserted that a time frame to accomplish the mission cannot be specified.
Military Spokesperson Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara told the Daily Mirror that although the Army had suffered casualties in Tuesday s battle the numbers were far less than that suffered by the LTTE.
Brigadier Nanayakkara added that the Army was also able to break open the bund and defence lines situated on the outskirts of Kilinochchi and was able to capture five km of land along that stretch.
We have not suffered a debacle. Instead we were able to capture more land. The fighting lasted for several hours in which the LTTE suffered heavy casualties, Brigadier Nanayakkara said.
However, LTTE's Peace Secretariat director S. Puleedevan, quoting Tiger commanders who were in charge of the Tiger defensive fronts in Kilinochchi district, said in an interview to TamilNet that Tuesday s battle was the third debacle suffered by the Sri Lanka Army in the Kilinochchi district within the past few weeks.
He added that the LTTE, repulsing a major push by the Army, had been able to kill at least 100 soldiers and causing injuries to more than 250. According to the emerging details, a multi-front push towards Kilinochchi from Malayaalapuram, Kugnchupparanthan, Murikandi and Pulikkulam, was repulsed by the LTTE defensive formations that have seized weapons and recovered at least 10 corpses of the Sri Lanka Army, Puledevan told TamilNet citing LTTE military officials.
However denying the high number of casualties suffered by the troops, Brigadier Nanayakkara said that the Army had suffered 25 casualties and an estimated 10 had gone missing in Tuesday s fighting. He added that the LTTE had suffered 120 casualties and around 250 of its cadres had been missing since the battles began early Tuesday morning.

We all know that TamilNet is useful.. When thousand of Tamils get arrested in Colombo, TamilNet reports it.. Defence.lk won't do it ! This is precisely the reason why TamilNet is useful, and why MrBrown keep posting its articles! It can give a balanced view of the situation ! When defence.lk minimizes their causalities, TamilNet is here to maximalize it :))
TN is one of the well 'recognized' website that reports about Sri Lankan Tamil affairs in English/German/and now French.. Also APF and Reuters news agencies quote TamilNet for some news. Even some Television channels quote TamilNet. I don't think they will do it if all the news in TN were BS. TN is LTTE's news website in English.
So it can be understandable that they don't want to report their own causalities or lost areas !!
If you scroll down the pages in TamilNet, there is an email address..If MrBlake was a daily reader he should have seen that.. |
