Several filling stations in the city put up shutters yesterday displaying notices that there was no petrol.

The gas was suddenly got evaporated as the price was reduced.

HOW COME this happen?

Guess the guys did not want to sell the old gas stock purchased at a higher price at a loss.

They have gas. But they pretend they do not have gas.There should be a formula to figure out sudden changes. I have never seen such things here in the USA.

This is called Hoarding.

But why?

Prices should come down.

I don't see the logic in this.

There should be flying squad like inspectors who do spot checks for
supply availability and penalize for creating undue hardship on civilians. This is a kind of an organized maneuver to discredit the GOSL.

No change in petrol price

There will be no change in the price of petrol immediately.

A press release issued yesterday evening by Director, Government Information Department Anusha Pelpita said: 'H.E. the President informed the Cabinet of Ministers that the Supreme Court has taken a decision on fuel prices.

It was decided to obtain a copy of that decision and afterwards the Cabinet should meet again tomorrow. There will be no change in fuel prices for the time being.'
