| Some one ask me early yesterday why the sri lankan math education system ask the students to memorise formulas etc. it is because the sri lankan education system is based on teaching from the fundamentals. this is the essential difference between that and the other education systems in many other countries. if you fail to apply any model solutions to the problems you would encounter, you could always go back to your fundamentals and start from scratch. |

This is very important. Here the education is a mess.
In the USA people can graduate without any knowledge. |

People in search of quick solutions need knowledge with the least difficulty. but they fail when a real problem crops up. knowledge of the fundamentals would always be there when you need it. It really helped me when I sometimes found the quick fix model solutions could not address the problem at hand comprehensively. |
