Since many Tamil members chat about the UNHCR I thought I might give you how it happened.
It is not so much the SL got kicked out. Kicked out means the members ASK SL to relinquish the seats and leave.
What haoppened was as far as I know, there was an annual re-election during which SL received some 100 odd approvals. But there was another country which secured more.
So it was not exactly a kick out.
As for GSP thing, yes there is an investigation but pending it, the EU extended the time period. Some say it is one month some say it is three years.
If i were you however, I would start rejoicing only if SL notified that GSP+ will be withdrawn.
We all know about these investigations dont we?
remember when tamilNadu ministers were told to withdraw their resignation threat, the Indian govt asked GOSL to have some solution in one month? Now that month is long gone isnt it? |

You are supporting the wrong guy Chennai. VP has done more damage than any good to Tamils. If you think the government want all Tamils killed and chased away, then VP is doing a bloody good job.
What is required is the immediate replacement of leadership. That will lead to proper negotiations. Diaspora should now demand VP replacement because VP is not representing anybody in SL but only the diaspora.
We don't need any Sinhala wolf to tell us who should be our leaders. The Sinhalese like SK63 wants the lumpen elements like Sangarai, Doglass and Karuna who are eating out of Sinhalese hands to sit front of Sinhalese to negotiate a deal on behalf of Tamils.
The Sinhala racists hate Prabhakran because he was the only Tamil leader they couldn't buy with ministry post or luxury life. That is the only reason they hate him, and that is the only reason millions of Tamils are willing to die for him. We still have some areas with Tamil majority because of Prabhakaran, otherwise they would have settled the Sinhala thugs evrywhere in the North East. Prabhkaran is the only hindrance is against their goal of Sinhalization of Tamil Eelam. That's why the Sinhala racists hate Prabhakaran.
VP killed the Tamil traitors and all self respecting Tamils are grateful to him for that but the Sinhala war machine killed more than 65,000 innocent Tamil civilians and the Sinhala war machine made our people to live under trees. We Tamils need to revenge our traditional enemy Sinhalese, that's why we shouldn't buy into the pep talks of Sinhala racists and we must rally behind Prabhakaran.
He is the only post independence Tamil leader stood against the Sinhala racists. We shouldn't forget that Sinhalese acknowledged the Tamil grievances only after Prabhakran showed up with guns. The Sinhalese stopped looting and killing us because of the fear of retaliation by Prabhakaran. We entire Eelam Tamils are indebted to Prabhakaran, we are his strength, as long as we are with him, no one can defeat him.

LTTE is banned in the states. But Sarath and GotaBoy are green card holders. And you know about USA's judiciary system. They won't let them easily enter their soil if the charges are proven right.

Wat tigers are looking for is not only annhilation of GOSL army but also its Economic reserves, Political base which is also fast Dwindling...
84% of Sri Lankans approve the Military solution against LTTE.
Villagers say they will tolerate the hardships until GOSL defeat the LTTE menace.

| This is pathetic! Whether tamil or sinhalese one shouldn't harp on the others missery. I am ashamed of my tamil bretheren of making light of sinhala life. They are human too all people of the same soil, you should all be ashamed of your self. If this is what ealam would be in the future, I would not want any part of it. I think it is time that the UN sent their peace keepers and sorted out this mess, that clearly this abject government can't solve. Sinhalese also have to learn that they do not control any minorities and have to respect them as equals. I deplore tamilnet for publishing such hainess pictures, not very classy even if they wanted to destabilize the sinhalese mentality. I pray that the UN will take charge. |

Sorry Chennai if my posts are unclear.
If one yearns lasting peace, if the govt is to have permanent solution, VP has to be eliminated because he is the main obstacle.
If someone wants the elimination of Tamil people from SL, then letting VP hang around will do that job because he is doing a good job of letting Tamil people die.
I personally dont think any govt (UNP or PA) is keen to see the latter. Which requres the implementation of the former
