Why the Sinhalese are insisting and forcing the Tamils to stay with them in one country. How long you can force the people who don't want to stay with you. Some Sinhalese try to brag about the democratic tradition of Sri Lanka, then why can't they hold a plebiscite among Tamils to ask them if they want to stay in Sri Lanka with the Sinhalese or they want to go on their own way.
Canada is a true democracy, the people of Quebec wanted separation and they held a referendum and let the Quebeckers to decide. The Sinhalese should look at the amicable separation of Czech and Slovakia republics. People like SK who tries so hard to hide their Sinhala Buddhist racism to portray them as a humanitarian should propagate the amicable separation of Tamil Eelam and Sri Lanka. At least, they should ask their government to hold a referendum in North East among the Tamils.
Some racist Sinhalese might argue the referendum should be held among the Sinhalese too. That is a weird argument. You should ask the question to people who wants the separation. For example, the UN held a referendum among the Eritrean people only for the creation of Eritrea and they didn't ask the Ethiopians.

I dont know why the govt does not open Muhamalai. I dont want to give my two cents tigress19 withut knowing the facts.
Because Muhamalai still occupies a lot of LTTE. Better to keep them busy there. |

Doubts can arise abt LTTE but not against STATE of Srilanka that they are not fair. If the doubt arises even among IC, then it is matter of time this FAILED state goes into pieces than be under Permanent Peace
Machan, if doubts DO NOT arise against the GOSL in the minds of IC INCLUDING in the Centre in India, if the whole world brands the LTTE as terrorists, if India extends the ban even after protests by TamilNadu, there has to be something wrong with VP and the LTTE dont you think?
I mean do you really think that EVERYBODY in the world is wrong and only Diaspora is right?
Look, I understand where you are coming from and that is why I always maintain respect when I chat here with the members of the Tamil community.
We all know (even the hardest core Sinhalease knows) that there were mistakes by successive govts. You support the LTTE because they appear to be the hero fighting the villain. But Chennai, this is not a Tamil film and VP is Not Rajinikanth. Fights are real and shots are live. People actually die not like in Tamil films.
You are supporting the wrong guy Chennai. VP has done more damage than any good to Tamils. If you think the government want all Tamils killed and chased away, then VP is doing a bloody good job.
What is required is the immediate replacement of leadership. That will lead to proper negotiations. Diaspora should now demand VP replacement because VP is not representing anybody in SL but only the diaspora. |

What role did I play in creating this mayhem? My proposals? I can't speak for my relatives and what they did or didn't do. I can only speak for myself.
My immediate family is another victim of this mayhem. To answer your question, even if I did have any role in this, I realized long time ago, that this is not the way we should live. |

Sooner the better. VP likes to go like a hero for the diaspora. History will remember him as the greatest failure of Tamils. |

Many many thanks for not using any deregatory word at all this time!!!
If a referendum should be held it should not be ONLY among Tamils. It should be among ALL three nationalities living in the North east of Sri Lanka. That includes Muslims and Sinhalease as well (living in the North east. i am not suggesting every where).
When that was proposed VP totally opposed to it. He is under the illusion that the North east is Tamil and ONLY Tamil.
