Thivya,
How does my opposition to the creation of anything under racial lines imply that I am against the minority rights? Where does it say that I have anti Tamil racism? Where does it say i am against a Federal State?
It was only yesterday i posted about my support for a Federal Solution.
You seem to like the creation of some animosity and get hurt on your own and even deriving considerable thrill out of it! So that you can remain wound up all day long, full of hatred and even praying for blood and more blood.
As i said, the society has all sorts of people. Some prefer certain life styles.
No problem as long as you like it! |

Sorry to barge..
Chennai, why doesnt the LTTE let people go to Vavuniya?
why the sla do not open the muhamali entry /exit point??
why there is a concentration camp in mannar??
on top of it, why the ltte should allow the civilians to go to vavunia?? bearing in mind that it was the sla chased them to the ltte...
why areant you asking the ltte to reseetle the civilians in their own homes instead herding them to vavunia?? |

Do you know how this conflict started?
It happened on 1954 Feb 25th, when Prabhakaran's father had to do night duty at his office.
And we all know the rest of the story.... |

Civilian administration is not SLA's strong point. LTTE decimation is. Please bear with us for a while and all of the above grievances will be addressed completely. |

Chennaiguy,
Look I am not for MR government and please dont think that i am an apologist for MR. But here is what generally happens in a war situation.
The govt did not deliberately create a deteriorating condition. When the area is under siege, such conditions materlise. Then the govt set up places for the IDP to go and stay in Vavuniya.
Machan, you are going by numbers that not how it works. In 1988-89 we had a JVP insurgency. Total JVP was then not even 20,000. They took the entire country of 25 million people for ransom.
Chennai, one should not be in comoplete denial (little bit is ok). You know that the LTTE wants civilians to stay because then the govt can not go for full scale war. You also know that they use civilians to place bombs and land mines.
All i am saying is, if you doubt govt intentions, they similar doubts arise about LTTE intentions. |

Do you not think it is ODD that you create Detriotating conditions for them & ask them to come out of their home to become IDPs like in east for last 2 yrs ?
How bad /deteriorating were the conditions prior to ltte terrrorism taking root in the N&E (as well as other parts) of SL. Do you not think that it is ODD that you conveniently forget this? Please read the following excerpt from none other than vp's sister: 'They have returned to Sri Lanka only once, in 2003, to help Ms. Rajendran's parents move back to Sri Lanka from India. It was the first time she had seen her homeland in almost two decades. The north was a desolate landscape of ruined buildings, destroyed by incessant shelling. The lush gardens of her youth had gone to weeds.' Edited By - plaxis - 17 Dec 2008 18:26:02 GMT |
