Yarlan,
As per your estimates, what percentage of Tamils in the Diaspora voluntarily support the Tigers? |

Hey, if you are a naturalisd Aussie, then you must have some allegiance.
nope - i play cricket myself and hold strong views about how the game should be played. Australia, while they may be great players in terms of skill, repulse me in terms of how they go about playing the game. no spirit, no sportsmanship. To be fair, its not every player, but the bad ones have spoiled the whole team for me. |

Yarlan,
Sorry to intrude on your conversation. I found your short bio to be fascinating. Dunno if you saw my question before but did you ever hang about Alethea International School in your days?
No. Must have been an elite school. I could have tried to enter Royal College after I got the scores needed in the 5th grade exam. But, I didn't. I considered Royal College to be an elitist school. I admit, I am messed up. One of my cousins who lived in Colombo since their birth went to Royal College while his brother went to Ananda(?) - Sinhala medium school? One can speak in Tamil while the other can speak in Sinhala. Both of them studied in US after finishing their A/L exams. Because of the need to protect my family's identity, I can't speak about this particular family. Needlessly to say, the achievements of my cousins can make Sri Lanka proud. And then, my aunt who is making history in Argentina...

Yarlan,
I hate to admit it. But, many Tamils in the Diaspora who are strong supporters of the LTTE had obtained their first (bachelors degree) in Sri Lanka - free of charge. They know what it costs to educate their sons and daughters in the West. Because of their lost status and anger at the possessions they lost in Sri Lanka (not true in all the cases), they don't want to remember that part in their life. Tragic, because it was the strength of their education in Sri Lanka that enabled them to be successful professionals in the West.
From the very begginning I was telling this!!One reason I started bashing these guys and also prevented me of having neutral discussions with them!
In fact EELAMAYA is a Graduate passed out from Peradeniya and the same faculty I graduated! HoweverI don't care much abt him, but others make us wonder what shall we do in the future!
Now you may ask me too.. the same question, but I have given my best back to my country and even now.. even though I'm here!. Sorry I'm unable to divulge..Anyway I will be going back to my country once I finish my work here!

I have actually chatted with Lee a few times and faced him with the ball at a charity event ... agree he's a nice bloke.
