Sujith,
What makes you think that GOSL will not sponsor any more genocide against tamils again? They have repeatedly massacre lots of Tamils including in prisons and in villages.

buddy, you were the one that asked for the GoSL to enter a ceasefire, not me. I said that the LTTE has to prove that they are willingly to put down their weapons and come to the negotiating table, but time after time, the LTTE have proven that their are not ready to negotiate.

where is this Pingalayas R & D facility. inside the bunker?

Come on, man!

SL army still could not locate a single TAF, despite they roaming around freely! So, they know nothing about TAFs.

Same with R&D labs too. Do you think that Tigers can continue this massive war without producing weapons of their own! That is how they can win. GOSL rely on foreign weapons and Tigers rely on TE-made weapons.

When this war will end, TE will come out as a major arm producer in the world. Among small nations, only Isreal, can match Tiger knowhow at this time!

we can take the evidence and present it to UN when the indian application for permanent seat in security council comes up. what do you think?

Of course you can do that... but world would not give a damn!

I am sure Minister is upset cos he was not given his share of the Bribe..Typical..

Minister accuses DIG of illegal acts

Minister urged IGP to take action against DIG Upali Hewage
A senior government minister in Sri Lanka has appealed to the chief of police to take action against a senior police officer accused of being involved in illegal gem mining.
Power and Energy Minister John Seneviratne made the accusation against Deputy Inspector General (Sabaragamuwa), Upali Hewage, at the Ratnapura District Co-ordinating Committee meeting.

Minister Seneviratne said DIG Hewage has intervened to get a man, who was arrested after a tip off, released.

The suspect was arrested by the police on 19 September, he said.

If the most senior person in charge of maintaining law and order in Sabaragamuwa province breaks the law, how can we maintain the law and order in the province

According to the minister, a Sub Inspector (SI) of Kuruvita Police was also involved in the incident.

'If the most senior person in charge of maintaining law and order in Sabaragamuwa province breaks the law, how can we maintain the law and order in the province? I urge the IGP to take immediate action,' he said.

SI Bandara of Kuruvita police, minsiter said, has tried to influence another SI who was investigating the matter to release the suspect saying it was a 'DIG's case'.

Minister Seneviratne added that six policemen, including an officer who only had few months to retire, attached to Kuruvita police were transferred by the DIG for trying to enforce the law.

Free education is nice, but in the end we lag far behind other higher education institutes because we lack necessary funds to make things better, the graduates that we produce are of less value when it comes to employment. There may be a few good universities, but these are not enough accommodate everyone with potential, and hence standardization in school and extremely hard school examinations. It's sad.
