Its always good to know the actual history, not the crap spewed by the mithical mahawamsa. It is a well known fact that the brits consolidated two tamil kingdoms in the North and East of the island with the kingdoms in the south.
BTW! contrary to populart sinhal belief it wasn't the tamils who were kissing british boots, it was the sinhalese and tamil elites of the land. Thats why the rains were handed over to DS Senanatake. How did Sor Stanley Kothalawala get his nighthood? The tamils were never handed the plumb jobs with no reason. Naturally they did the better jobs becasue they were more educated. This is true because that was also the reason the sinhala racists brought in standadised education where if you were sinhalese you only needed a b and 3 c's to to do engineering or medicine, while as a tamil you had to pretty much get 4 a's. Thats why we are here bickering, becasue you morons don't know how to run a country with dignity with equality to all.

LTTE Boat Sunk in Air Target
(16.12.2008 19:30 SLT - SL Army)

JAFFNA : A FLOTILLA of LTTE boats taking reinforcements to the KILALY front where the Tiger terrorists suffered heavy losses were targeted by MI 24 fighter helicopters of the Sri Lank Air Force this evening (16.12.2008) around 06:15 pm while they were sailing across the KILALY lagoon.

The shelling by the MI-24 sunk one (01) LTTE boat and caused damages to a few more before terrorists completed their mission.

Terrorists onboard remaining boats turned back and withdrew amidst shelling of the Air Force.

Bassa its not personal ......but as tamils we are fighting for our very existence. Do you really think we can trust any sinhalese governments in the future, after all that happened in the past? Please don't insult me by briging in bogus numbers of ltte murders against tamils. If you are serious about peace, then change the constitution to recognise a founding people of the island, otherwise this blood is in sinhala hands.

300 GCE O/L Candidates Forced to Serve LTTE Defence Lines - Examination Chief
(16.12.2008 16:07 SLT - SL Army)

Commissioner General of Examinations Anura Edirisinghe, in an interview with a weekend newspaper claimed that about 300 GCE O/L examination applicants, scheduled to sit the examination this month, have been forced to serve the LTTE Forward Defence Lines in the north, depriving them of higher education.

The highest authority for conduct of GCE examinations further state that his department is prepared to conduct a special GCE O/L examination for those minors of 16-17 years of age once the government rescues them from the LTTE grip. The weekend Ravaya newspaper has also quoted Mr. Edirisinghe saying that he had already approached provincial authorities, principals, parents and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for collection of more information and details on those applicants who have been reportedly taken away by the LTTE organization.
