Mihin Lanka to fly again from December 21st
In these days, another airline.
Sri Lanka should be really brave.
Anyway, it is govt money, who cares.
IT it by a reputable Company or CEO, he will never take this kind of risks. |

SL should not take action against SF. and I said firing the SO editor is wrong in my opinion.
It is the politicians who are wrong.
Taking action against the Editors is just CHEAP Politics.
IF GOSL did not do anything VAIKO the YAKO will not open the mouth again. |

If You accept it is a mistake to punish the editor..then you should tell us who is the right person to punish..if not SF then..who? Gothabhaya..

Mind you we do not have SL embassy in Hong Kong
We, sri lankans help all
its over millions in the middle east. embassies cant help everybody and some abscond jobs for various reasons. we have bought tickets to many people over the years. and people do not wait till the end of their contracts to travel to SL for various emergencies they encounter in their lives. this is the need for a budget airline.
another thing is if a proper manager or staff to be recruited mihin would have to match the market rates paid to same in other airlines. and this is over lakhs in SLRS, many lakhs I should say, 2,3,4,5 and as soon as this goes into the ears of media people they would start screaming corruption. this is also one aspect mihin and the SL media would have to consider. |

Instead the govt should have used some of this money to subsidize tickets for example buying tickets in groups and reselling to needy people as some Travel agents do.
OR they can buy certain percentage of every Sri Lankan Airline flight for subsidized tickets.
Another airline is an expensive method.

I am surprised..I thought an order by Mahinda last year..no more helpers are sent abroad..ru saying SL is allowing Helpers to go as before..if that rule was implemented then the # of helpers should reduce..
I understand the # of SL go back on emergencies but that # should not be big..
The Majority fly back to SL for a holiday after their contract period..they should be getting thier tickets..
I don't think just one sector like Dubai is enough for Mihinair to operate at a profit

Great idea...atleast they can subsidize people who want to return to SL before the contract is over due to urgent matters
