Not only my children - my grandchildren too. My children remember how I used to feed them and tell these stories from the legends. When my daughter was pregant with her first baby whom they named Kali, she said she wanted to hear a particular Krishna song (Aayar Paadi Maligayil). We were really surprised because we did not expect them to remember their childhood so clearly. I got her the CD from Vishnu temple at Dehiwela. Kali has a big birth mark near her mouth - denoting Kali - in her sweet white face. All this 'happened' naturally - manifestations of true integration by our family.
This may be crap to those who place Buddha statues in front of Muruga statues.
